Our Warranty Policy

Please review the full policy before submitting your claim.

Only valid for purchases made on www.smithopticsaustralia.com. If you bought your item from a Smith retailer, please return it to the store where it was purchased—they will assist you with submitting a claim in-store

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY: 

All Smith sunglasses and goggles (including custom goggles) are covered for the lifetime of the product to be free from manufacturer's defects under the terms and conditions of this policy.

STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY: 

All Smith helmets are covered for the duration of three years from the date of purchase against any manufacturer’s defects under the terms and conditions of this policy.

Rx - Smith prescription eyewear is warranted to the original purchaser for two years from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects. Nose pads and temples are free as long as the parts are available. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any pair of Smith Prescription Eyewear found to be defective exclusive of damage caused by improper or unreasonable use.

APPAREL AND ACCESSORIES:

All Smith apparel and accessories are covered for the duration of one year from the date of purchase against any manufacturer’s defects under the terms and conditions of this policy unless otherwise stated in any mandatory applicable law.

Terms & Conditions of warranty:

Smith has sole discretion to determine what qualifies as a manufacturer's defect, and only authentic products purchased from an authorized Smith dealer or from the Smith website are covered by our limited lifetime warranty or standard limited warranty (as applicable). If a product is found defective by Smith, unless otherwise provided by the applicable law, Smith has sole discretion to determine whether to (i) replace (ii) repair

The warranty program does not include a product that is lost, stolen, dropped, sat on, stepped on, run over, shattered, chewed by your pet, or any other damage that is caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence; with specific reference to apparel, the warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colours and material through time, exposure or extensive use.

Please be advised that the Smith warranty is for authentic Smith products including authentic Smith lenses, frames, and parts without modification of any sort. Any alteration to lenses, frame parts, or nose pads voids all warranties.

How the Warranty Process Works

The warranty process typically takes 14 business days. To ensure a smooth process, please have the following ready:

  1. Product name and model.
  2. A valid proof of purchase.
  3. Photos that clearly show the problem with your product. For examples, please see our Warranty Claim Photos guide.
